here's again the whole picture resized:


and here's the 100% crops, not sharpened:















I see no coarse pixelization problems here. Gorgeous images - that would of course benefit from a little sharpening, which I have not done.
Maybe the problem in Trifox's image could have been due to a non-ideal sharpening process?

Trifox, what f/stop did you use?
I am of the impression that the depth of field is quite narrow,
but I am not sure if this is due to the large size of the original,
or to a wide aperture in the lens.

I would love to see this same image stopped down to f/22 or something like that.

I read that the D21 give his best @2.8
F22 will probably be bad due to diffraction

I have to say -- superb! Well, the aperture was f11

f16 or more may cause diffraction - so my choice is f11 at the highest...

Well -- sharpening -- not the best in my conversion - it was just quick process to provide these pics to MF Smile

and also sharpness in camera was set at 0 ! That was the reason for sharpening in the post !
