It has been a problem for some years now in the south of Finland...
We are now in central Finland... Here is some snow as you can see...
It has not been so big problem in lapland yet though...
When I was a child I remember that we had snow always and it was normal
to see -20c - -30c in the south aswell...
Hehe still remember those winter days of skiing and going out faces red
Nowdays it doesn't get so cold easily anymore... And because of those long warm days like +4c and sometime just below 0c so it isn't so easy to get enough snow if the weather doesn't stay cold long enough.
Now the days are getting longer here all the time... Now it's still quite dark 08:00 in the morning but we are going to see longer days day by day.
I think I shoot some more snow pictures tomorrow _________________ EOS 5D mk II

A warm and cloudy day here. Tomorrow, as well as being a Christian festival, is dies natalis solis invicti - the birthday of the invincible sun. Supposedly it was the first day after the solstice in which the increase in day length was detectable in earler times. Although not a sun worshipper myself I do look forward to longer evenings. _________________ John |

Hail the Unconquerable Sun! It was of course that festival long before the birth day of Jesus was arbitrarily and retrospectively fixed to the same day.
I understand that the solstices and equinoxes all fell on the 25th of the month at that time (and the year started at the spring equinox, 25 March). _________________ Camera (ˈkæ mə rə), n. Device for taking pictures in bright light

Beautiful snowy series! The weather in my region is completely different - as you can see on today's photos in this topic: http://forum.mflenses.com/i-joined-the-j-6-club-new-toy-jupiter-6-t13502.html. We had few rainy dais - now the sky is more clear, but it's cold. _________________ Regards,

My favorite of this series is the stream in your more recent post. That deserves a place on your wall, in a large size print _________________ Pentax Bodies: K10D + D-BG2 | MX |

They are Husky/Czechoslovakian Wolfdog hybrids.
http://www.wolfdog.se/english/czechoslovakian-wolfdog
They love snow... When first snow came they wanted to jump out of the roads to the forest where is more snow... and eating snow is also their favourite thing...
We where Christmas in my parents place in the countryside next to the lake.
Both boys where out almost all the time running and playing. Also at night
They don't care about cold... There was just -7c to -12c outside.
The older one has been out on -30c and he was ok... They won't need any clothes ever as some dogs do _________________ EOS 5D mk II
