The Telemegor seems to be very nice lens. How many iris blades does your Biotar T 5.8/2 have? _________________ (almost) complete list of Helios lenses |

Thanks, colleagues!
no-X: Telemegor isn't easy to use (big and heavy) but great for body-building and wild nature shots. About Biotar - it has 17 blades (!). _________________ Regards,

I think that the optical design of these lenses is identical, but there are differences in finish. Biotar with 17 blades is an older version (produced until 1952). The tubus is small and made from chrome brass (some examples are black). Newer version has bigger, aluminium tubus. _________________ Regards,

Thanks, Attila! I'm in love with Olympia too Another lens is on its way to me - I'm waiting for the parcel containing this beauty (of course without the camera):
I paid over 100€ for this J-6 (in very good condition, SN 002606) with M39/M42 ring and yellow filter - so it will be my most expensive lens, but I'm very glad from this purchase! _________________ Regards,
