Well, this shot isn't exactly my bread and butter style of studio photography but since I had to buy a new cell phone my first thought was that I had to try to produce a decent studio shot of it.
So you are free to criticize it as you want, just take in consideration that this setup isn't exactly the easiest one to arrange, it's far more complicated that it may seem.

Btw, the old Nikkor Micro behaved wonderfully in my opinion.

I don't have the knowledge to comment on the technical aspects of the shot, but I appreciate the fact that the display is well visible. Often, in this type of advertisements, you can see that the display is just a pasted-on graphic image.

The display has been shot with its own light. I remember that kind of fake images and I wanted to avoid that terrible results (which are not very pro-looking).
