Have you applied some resharpening? Esp. the first shot looks like a painting.

Yes, these lenses are not Zeiss/Leica, they require some sharpening, especially on a 15mp camera.

You mean because there is little detail?

In fact, it does not show the corners, it's cropped on all sides.

It is always a pleasure to see you demonstrating your admirable skills, but especially so with lenses that we tend to ignore or know little about. The Mir's are a really surprisingly good collection of lenses and Steinheil has a deservedly good reputation, but amongst a relatively small coterie. So thanks again for these excellent samples

Thanks Patrick!
I am reducing my collection of lenses, because I can't afford to keep all of them and at the same time, make new purchases of things that I need more.
However, I will keep some of every type, because is nice now and then to use lenses that you normally don't use Smile

It's difficult to describe. Yes, perhaps in some areas the details seem to be washed out (look at the grass).

Well, this lens is not a Distagon to start with... plus the lighting there on the grass is seriously flat, I mean, no shadow and no highlight.
