I have recently bought my dream 25mm lens (happy birthday a few months early) ZM 2.8/25.
This makes my CV 4/25 an extra. I love the lens but can not see using it behind the ZM25.

Is there an interest from anyone here.
I would likely package it with a Black Bessa L and of course it would include the VF.
Price $375 for the package. Or $250 for the lens/VF alone.
Please let me know soon if interested.
If no takers this one will go to ebay.

Photos will follow in a few hrs.
Very Happy

I have to pull this offer.
I had to return my Biogon 25 to Zeiss.
The focus Ring had a binding issue that was not going to suck itself.
Surprised really that this one made it past the inspector.

Anyway the CV 25 will stay until I decide on a replacement or not.
Sad

the new carl zeiss (cosina) lenses have apparently had a number of troubles regarding QC. a member of the pentax forums has had several new ZK lenses that have had to be returned to zeiss. one of which I believe had to be returned more than once. everyone was asking is it just the ZK's or does it span the entire Z range? well I don't know what to say about that, and I wont openly speculate but just like with current pentax smc lenses (most notably the limited series) QC seems to be falling as demand increases. what ever happened to the standards of days past? makes one appreciate those Takumars....

Yeah I bet that Zeiss faces the same as the rest as far as QC and mass production.

My other ZM is excellent in all regards.
Also I should note that I searched high and low for info regarding QC issues in the ZM line.
I found only one problem. It was the same lens as mine.

The design of the Biogon 25 is interesting.
The lens is RF coupled down to .8m.
Then the lens de-couples from the RF cam and will still focus to .5m.
This is very close for a RF lens and of great benefit.
The issue that has occurred with my lens (and the other guys) is rooted here.
When the lens is focused from this un-coupled range back into coupling the cam ring binds inside of it's housing.
This should be easy to fix but not by me.
Anyway that is my experience. I still have full faith in Zeiss. Very Happy

Wow, congratulations.

This is the must-have lens from ZM line beside 2/35ZM. Very Happy

Anyhow my personal life is a kind of busy now, so I cannot
come here often. Reaosn stated in my second post --> http://forum.mflenses.com/nikkor-ai35-1-4s-t12096.html

We will be in Kingston again from tomorrow or after. Of course I will
bring a camera (D700) and some lenses.

But this is a good news.

The problem Andy described in here does not happen to my M6 & 8,
I have not tried the lens with Bessa R4M yet though.

Hi Koji!

I hope that the next copy is like yours.
There is some fault in mine.
Likely it is a minor issue. Optically the lens performs as it should.
Does your lens have the same feedback while turning the focus ring throughout the focus range?

Hi Andy

Mine does move uniformly from 0.5m to infinity position,
there is no difference from ring's feedback while you are rotating the lens.

OK Thanks for checking for me.
I'll drop the box at the post today.
Shame as I got it very low priced with both hoods.
Now I know why Sad
