Just received CZJ Sonnar 135/4, chrome version. I think I am going to like this for portraits

Fantastic pictures, Patrick!
What clarity of image.
I am in love with the 4/135 (I have two copies and not going to sell any!).

Sharpness and colour rendering are both notable!
Love these shots.
Which camera did you use for them? Maybe the 40D?.

Jes.

So beautiful - the girls and the shots!
The symbolic scene in the first shot is great, as is the expression in the second one.

What beautifull little model!!

The pics are very, very nice too.

The lens rendition is very similar to my CZJ 135/3,5. What's differences

between both?

Rino.

I don't think they're a lot different. The 3.5 version is newer.
Both are Sonnar type lenses.

Excellent. As Orio says, great clarity.

Thanks for the kind words. I take these portraits at local street markets - always with the permission of the person/parent. After doing it for a while many of them know me.
@rino - about $50 or so as near as I can tell - the f4 version is a lot cheaper, mine cost a mere $15 and is in excellent condition.

Beautiful pictures and nice capture of the emotion!

I got one with the word Jena and letter S on it for more than twice the amount you paid for yours. And yes, I agree, it's a very nice lens. My focusing ring is a bit tight, unfortunately.

I think best version is 3.5 zebra, at least to me.

I use the MC in few pics. But used the zebra more, it was very, very sharp, not vigneting, neutral colors.

The MC seems to be more contrast (and I hope equal sharp because I sold the zebra).

I don't know what are the differences but I also like my Tele-Tessar 4/135.

I had one, @ twenty years ago, in Rollei SL mount. I wasn't lucky, it had haze.

When cleaned it, all ok by near a month. After, haze again. I sold it with my sl 35 E and qb lenses.

With haze, sharp!! Shocked . Rino.
