Carsten, I advice you to buy both and make your own opinion
The Canon have the auto focus advantage, I have read some complains that the Contax can often backfocus
This is a old review (2006); today nothing can beat a G10, everything is in focus even wide open and for a price lower than half of the 1.4 lenses
