Last week I had the chance to grab this "little" boy.
Unfortunately I cannot test it on a FF-camera, still looking for a "cheap" 5D.
So all the pictures were taken with my 40D.
Had some problems with not focusing to infinity. The CY-adapter (which was working fine with all my other Contax lenses) needed to be grinded by a few µm. (grinding paper on a glass plate)
Im still not sure if its 100% now, because I dont want to enable "past infinity"
It's a very heavy lens, ~900g, well built. Focussing is smooth and the 0.16m minimum distance is amazing. Cant wait to take it out.
Here are the first sample pictures, no pp.

Thank you Orio,
I hope its not that way , I spent very little money, much less than a used 5D, which was my next aim and I could not sleep for few days until I received this baby.
5D now has to wait, but its still a pleasure on a APS-C cam. And in my wildest dreams I can imagine what it can do with a 5D.
I'll take the honour and promise a lot of pictures
Can't wait for the weekend... _________________

Thank you.
I would, but unfortunately my 50E does not like the CY-adapter, I only get a blinking "MF" symbol, no working shutter
But the viewfinder looks so promising/delicious! _________________

With around 50 Euros you can buy a Yashica camera that will require no adapter. _________________ Orio, Administrator

just put a small paper to block the switch on the 50E and you will use your contax without problem
of course a contax body will be better than the 50E for critical focus but for 15mm no problem _________________ T* |

Thank you patrickh, yes I will.
The paper between the contacts did the trick, but unfortunately the mirror will not clear
I will shave the mirror, this way I can get some experience for my 5D-shave, which will happen in few months.
A few more samples - taken during work time ( ) :
f8, some flares are present, hmm
