Amazing clarity, especially on #2. Who care infinity , it would be a great portrait lens I hope.

Yes, great image definition Patrick. What mount was the lens originally for?

Wow, it certainly works WELL for close and mid-ranges, evidently. I love the sparkling clarity.

I think Exakta, "real" Topcon lens is not mountable on other cameras.

Nice colour and clarity. Very realistic.

As I understand it the Topcon mount was modeled after the Exakta but was never intended to be interchangeable. Nikon had a working relationship with Exakta under which they actually produced some Exakta mount lenses. The adapter I have was made by Nikon to allow Exakta lenses to be mounted on the nikon cameras - even without infinity focusing. I was amazed when I first tried this lens to find out how good it is - I love the colour as well as the definition and the OOF is a treat. Now I have to find a way to use the 35 I just got - it may be more usable on the 40D via a nikon adapter?
