All photos in here are Jpeg from my new D700 camera, some are modified to
adjust horizon/level and exposure using PSElement. In chronological oder.

1) typical cuisine in Kyoto (a part of full course lunch, possibly $150 per person)

2) zen garden of Ginkaku-ji

3) japanese maple leaves in green

4) another typical food in Kyoto (pickles)

5) shop also typical Kyoto style

6) ony in kyoto or japan, hybrid modern bridge

7) temple entrance

Cool autumn leaves (starting)

9) famous gate of another temple (Nanzen-ji)

10) Kyoto station

I carried Planar T* 1.4/85ZF too, but never used it. Went to ancient capital of NARA too,
those photos are later. Jpeg photos from D700 still have "digital" flavour here and there,
it is getting better than before however. Very Happy

I am now in Yokohama (port city south of Tokyo), will explore new places today.
See you.../koji

Thanks for the little tour of Kyoto!
It seems to be a very green city, which is nice - however for some reason my preference goes to the last picture, the train station. It really has a "mood".

Hi Koji
Nice to see you out with your new camera Smile
It's great to receive photo report from you Kyoto.
I'm with Orio. I like the shot of the station the best also. It has energy
Cool
Also the Pickle shop. Your composure suits the subject well.

I like the atmosphere of the first shot
#3 is impressive, single leaf draw superb on the white sky
the light was not the best but the lens look very good

Thank you koji. The lens looks very sharp and I love the flavour of Japan. Smile Smile I am a bit surprised that the pics look a little "flat". I wonder if RAW would produce a better result?
