I just won this lens on ebay. This is only my second Ziess lens. If anyone has a link to some photos taken with this lens please post it for me. It would be appreciated.

Well looking Tessar! This example was made in 1958~1959. I have older example (5cm 1:3.5 from 1949) and I'm very satisfied. I hope you'll also enjoy your Tessar!

Great item from a great seller. His stuff always goes for a little more because he presents it so well. But it is probably worth it. There are many posts praising the Tessar. Hi Marc,
The seller is very good. He's not setting a price, the bidders do. His lenses start at .99 US. I managed to get this lens for 55.00 US. The shipping is a bit pricey, about 23.00 US.

Thanks everyone for the great links to the very nice photo's. I cant wait to get my hands on this lens.

I also won a CARL ZEISS JENA BIOTAR 58/2 (RED T) 12-blade M42 and a Nikon F4 with a rare 24-120 zoom attached. My bank account took a big hit but I'm very happy, the 24-120 lens is worth the price I paid for the F4. Very Happy

I believe this lens is a 12 blade. the seller didnt state how many blades but I compared it to another lens which did have the blades listed.
