I'm back home... Here is about +12c but up there was night time -5c
and daytime -from 2c to +5c...

We visited couple of different places there... Our dogs where very happy to
run all over... Actually they escaped from us in those mountains...
They went running after reindeers!! Shocked

After waiting 10min they came back... It was very unreal to see huge pack of reindeers and these wolf a like dogs decide to run after them....
Reindeers spread to few smaller packs and dogs run after one pack over the hill and dissapeared.... It would of take very long for us hike that long way where they went so we had to wait...

One of the Attilas favourite places zoo...
We visited Arctic Animal Zoo in Ranua.. northern Finland.. (not so north though) just about 760km north from Helsinki... We continued further after spent one day there.
http://www.ranuawildlife.fi/?deptid=18395
The zoo itself is a different than most zoos because all the animals have BIG areas to move and the nature is much like their normal habitat in the
nature... It doesn't feel like a city zoo at all...
That's a good thing for the animals too.

Here are shots from the zoo...
I took just the Nikkor 105/1.8 lens there..

Good to know there is a zoo where is animal comfort more important than income from entry fees. In city zoos if they keep quarter amount of animals they would be nice.

All fantastic photos!
The zoo captures are superb, but I especially love the Lapp Land reportage, because it really makes me feel like being there!

Very nice photo series on a wild landscape.
Like the colour scheme on the deer shots.
The wolf is expressive too. We have a zoo in Sweden were you can go in to the wolf pen and get acquainted to the wolf pack. Domesticated wolfs of course, but still very impressive guys.

I have never seen Lapland landscapes, and they are nice shots.
Thank you for showing us all those places.
