Need a cheap hood for your Flek 4/20 or 4/25?
Try the Mamiya Hood No.1 for RB/RZ67 50/65mm lenses. It's made of rubber and folds flat.
Straight push-on fit as the ring's the same 80mm dia. as the Flek's OE push-on cap although there's no scope for filters unless you screw them on first. It's quite deep for a WA hood (Depth is good, within reason....) but there is no vignetting at f4 on FF.
Looks like this:
Front.
Side.

Andy, I just called KEH, and they still have not shipped the hood, yet! Bought
it Wednesday last week and shipping was $12.95 for such a small lightweight
item. Just called them and was told they wait for enough orders to make
a run to the post office, which sometimes takes as much as 10 days before
shipping!
Just to let you know, and shipping sux big time with KEH! |

The white residue on the hood has since been washed off. I need just a
little strip of electricians tape to make it fit snug, but works pretty good as
is.
Thanks, Bob! (bob955i)

Hi Bill
Mine arrived today also.
I have a concern with KEH and shipping.
They really bungled the package with the G lenses for conversion to M mount.
The guy I finally got action from after a week of them sitting on it told me they had an issue with their acct. ( I had to pay $60 for second day )
I hope that KEH does not have some finance problems.
They have been a really nice source over the years. _________________ Moderator |

When I thought I paid them $12.95 for an $8 item, I got a little upset at the
guy on the phone when he told me they wait till they have a bunch of stuff
to mail before going to the post office.
Yeah, hope they aren't having any permanent deep-seated problems. |

They have a huge inventory.
It must be a constant struggle for cash flow there.

I only need one but it was cheap and I figured maybe it would be good to get an extra.
The hood is pretty durable looking. An spare is not necessary. _________________ Moderator |

Checking the hood's fit again, it doesn't look like I need to do anything, more than snug enough. |
