Nikolai Sklobovsky got his 50D. He tried it at pretty high ISO.

I was able to load some of the pages before the site went (apparently) dead again.
12800 ISO looks frankly unuseable for me. There probably just for marketing.
3200 ISO looks very good as long as you shoot RAW or SRAW and turn off the auto lighting function which produces banding (this according to info posted on DPR). Many samples posted in the forums are JPGs and have the autolighting on (it is on by default) and show banding.
Even 6400 looks acceptable with the above mentioned precautions.
1600 looks excellent in all cases and that's what I really need: a good quality 1600 ISO. I don't really need more than that.
