There are a lot of "standard length" lenses around with 1.2/1.4 apertures and many seem to be great lenses. This one seems to be part of that group and has several followers on this forum. I recently got the Sears/Tomioka 55/1.4 and it is now one of my favourites at a focal length I have never taken seriously. Lazzaros- with your abilities and stunning models - how could you go wrong? Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Love them both. Great shots. So how do you think it compares to the other one you posted the other day?

AHHhh
I see you have a niche!
Every one of you portraits is really so nice.

I really like #1.
Great colour scheme. It's not always better to make portraits B/W.
Seems to be a good lens. Personally I find that it's easy to get stuck with too many lenses in the 28-50 mm region.

hmmn, i have mine finally adopted mine with a new adaptor..
Though still have issues focusing to infinity, do you have any such issues ?

Also is it shot at f/8 ? Quite a decent job with catchlights...

Many thanks for your comments.

This one is not mine but I'd like to get one.
Really liked it.

This 2 shots were taken at f/2.8 and they are very sharp anyway. That's good.

I have no problems focusing to infinity.

Very nice Lazzaros. You really have a very good talent for potraiture!
I like the way you keep your photos simple and focus on the essential. This is my photo philosophy as well.

I have to agree with Orio...right away I liked the simplicity, no extraneous detail was included. NICE work. And a NICE lens indeed!

It does not matter the lens.
You have a nice subject and perfect capture.
This shot shows strength in your style Ivo.
I hope you build on it Smile

That's the strenght in the photographs as far as my personal taste is concerned - no pinchbeck. ------> Straight to the heart of it.
