All the cameras designed to use C/Y mount can use the MM lenses.
Of course the older cameras don't have the "program" mode so MM lenses will not make a difference for them

Any cheap contax or yashica cameras suggest?

If cheap is priority I suggest a Yashica body.
I sold one to Jesito some time ago, the FX2.
It is really a spartan camera (manual only, not even AE) but it has the depth of field preview button, it is solid metal build, and it is very reliable.

Yes, really nice!. You can first use it as a hammer and afterwards still shooting... Smile
I love it. With a 50mm CZJ Planar 1.7 is my second favourite 35mm camera set, (the first one is the VLC3 with the Pancolar 1.8 electric).
I like it because no need of battery stock, among other things.

The more modern ones (like the FX70) are nice but a different kind of beast, whitout a battery do not even shot.

I very much like the Yashica FR-1. It has a sturdy metal body, while not being bulky. You can see your actual aperture and shutter time in the viewfinder (the later models only have red/green light about exposure afaik). Aperture priority is default, but you can go fully manual with manual shutter speed (in that case you have to find the aperture that brings out the choosen time). Viewfinder is bright. Exposure compensation +/-2EV stepless. DoF preview. ISO 12 - 3200. I was very pleased by the results so far. But: all old Yashicas seem to have a broken exposure counter....not that much of an issue.
Easy to find, not expensive. About 30-40 EUR or $ should buy one - with lens.
Have a look at

good luck

Joecool

Thanks you, very much.

Jesito

Muchas gracias por tu información.

I like the yashica because I can begin to buy Zeiss lenses and use my CZJ with adapt.

I stand by Gerd on this one
FR1 is the best model that has AE.
If you go full manual there are other nice choices.
The FX 1,2,3 s as has been said have a mechanical shutter.
The FR1 is really very much the RTS but with needle display in VF in place of LED.
And no availability of changing focus screens.
The battery in these cameras is a 6v and lithiums are available.
They last over 100 rolls. And yes the counters are not reliable. Confused

Many years ago (very early 1980's) I owned both the Yahica FR1 and FRII models...Very good cameras with smooth elecronic shutter release. I don't recall having any problems with either one. I also owned one of the Contax cameras...I don't remember what the model was but it had some special gizmo that held the film very flat against the pressure plate.

Is there a known reason for this? I found it happens sometimes if the film door doesn't close tightly enough. Try pressing the door in while winding.

I found several of my fujicas m42 with this problem with the counter. I

will try pressing the door in while winding.

Thanks guys

Rino.

in case of the Yashicas, it is a plastic sprocket wheel which is constructed too weak and breaks. It is possible to fix it with superglue or something, but I find that's not worth the hassle.
