And you guessed right, poilu. Congratulations! You really have a great eye for lenses.
Well, you guessed almost right. In fact, the respectable distortion you have noticed, is not that of an autofocus zoom, it's that of the autofocus plasticky Canon EF 50mm f/1.8.
The first image, the one that (to put it in your own words), "looks more like a photo", comes from the Contax Planar 1.4/50
