Nice one IAN , Fomapan give consistent results, probably error was in developing process. _________________ -------------------------------

I will have you know that we are a two-shed family! Unfortunately, one is full of motorbikes and the other garden equipment. |

It is a very old thread but I want to post a sample here too.
I´am using Foma films only in large format, 4x5" and 8x10" and I find this films are not so easy to handle, the surface is very sensitive and I have to be very carefull to avoid scratches during loading the films into the holders.
The films are having problems with the lights, I see it in the most of the posted samples, when you make a mistake with in the exposure or something wrong with the developing you lost the texture in the lights.
The shadows are not so problematic but not easy to handle as well.
I thing the problem is the lower silver content of the Foma films.
This is one of the reason why it can be cheaper and for me it is ok.
I guess I have found my process and it works.
My sample were made with Fomapan 100, sheet film 4x5", developed in Adox FX-39 II, Schneider Symmar 5.6/135mm
