I've been fairly unproductive this year but I still got a few pictures that I consider worth showing. Three of my favourites so far:

1. Diver of the dark

2. Lady of the night

3. Maria by the Trapani pier

I had a good year photographically speaking, so it was hard for me to choose 3, but here they are:

I took not one, not two, but three trips this year (Belize x2, Morocco, and American SW), so it's pretty hard to pick three, but here they are FWIW.

The Moon is My Guide by Dr. RawheaD, on Flickr

Tough to choose one from my Morocco trip, but I chose this as the cover of my Blurb book (http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/detail/3242834) so I must like it (LOL). 5Dmk2 + 17-40mm F4L

Utah Sky by Dr. RawheaD, on Flickr

This is an example of a "snap-shot that turned out epic". It's some random rest stop in middle-of-nowhere Utah, on our way down to Zion National Park. I was walking around the parking lot, admiring the clouds and rains in the distance while my wife, son, and dad were taking a bathroom break. Ended up taking my favorite shot of the whole trip Very Happy 5Dmk2 + TS-E 17mm F4L

J. Dean McCurdy by Dr. RawheaD, on Flickr

This year ended up being really the year of large format for me. I think in terms of square inches of film, I shot more 4x5 than I did medium format. Since I'm looking to purchase a real-deal field camera some time next year, I can only see the trend continuing. This shot of my now-deceased grandfather, was taken with my favorite LF combo, Graflex Pacemaker Speed Graphic + Kodak Aero-Ektar 178mm f2.5, on Polaroid T55 film.

It's impossible to state categorically which 3 photos are the best of the year, but I can provide 3 contenders for differing reasons.
One of my best macros from this year:

One of my favourite BIF shots:

And a photo of a flower which I simply love:

I've put a few more favourite shots into a set on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/gazsus/sets/72157632336289367/

I didnt get out much for some serious shooting as I've been experimenting with film cameras this year, but this event I try to have fun as best I can!
This event is the Charles River Regatta held every October on the Boston Charles River-a nice run-and-gun challenge for me! Laughing
Lens is the 3.5/90 Lanthar on the 5DMKII!

Hi,

This forum is always a very inspiring place to find inspiration during my dull moments, thanks for this to y'all. Here my three picks of 2012.

1. Only taken yesterday, but instantly it is my favourite for 2012. My good ol' Supertak 50/1.4 takes the credits here Smile

2. Candid shot in my front yard with the Flek 35/2.4 which came out pretty nice. Mickey Mouse in the topright corner fully agrees on the nomination.

3. In-air motorcrossing shots are best taken with a Summilux-R 50/1.4 manual focus

Cheers
