This was a very nice view from my tent. Flowers in the foreground are Arnica. I simply brewed some morning coffee, picked blueberries, and made myself a blueberry biscuit. Relaxing...

To call that a million-dollar view would be absurdly understating the case.

Thanks to all of you! As you can see, there is a bit of "trouble" in the distant infinity area...I might have "bumped" the focusing ring or something, as f:22 should have been good for all distances.

To answer the prevailing question: YES, this was actually taken with me sitting inside my tent on my pad and sleeping bag, surrounded by:

Pillow made from stuff sack, stuffed with extra clothes.
Science fiction anthology paperback - Ray Bradbury of course.
Small headlamp.
RB67 and lenses in a sack.
Socks hanging and drying from overhead cord.
Boots beside sleeping bag.
Backpack at bottom end of tent.
Glasses and hearing aid in tent pocket.
Stove just outside doorway, heating water.
Food in a stuff sack, hanging from a tree about 400 yards away.

Very Happy

Always, Patrick! Since I was a pre-teenager and starting these solo treks, I've always hung my food quite a ways from camp. Never had any trouble with bears at all. In fact, I've never ever had any problems in any way with bears; twice in all these years I've accidentally come between mother bear and cubs. The mother runs one way, and the cubs run another way. And me...I just quietly back out of there. Cool

The bigger problem can be with elk this time of year. It is the rutting season, and the big bulls are PISSED to see an intruder like me, coming to "take away their harem"....I steer clear of those huge bull elk that tend to stare and stomp their feet and whistle....no thanks, Mr. Bull Elk...you can HAVE your harem... Shocked Very Happy
