I do like the compositions with the grain of the film. What film brand is it?

No idea, a Chinese no-name film from Ebay. It is supposed to be Ilford XP2, but that is a bit unclear.

My scanner doesn't really work nice with the grain; it creates banding.

I'm not convinced that I like this film better than Kodak BW400CN. However, for the price it is impossible to beat Wink

Btw, I shot it at 400ASA this time, and I think that this film, just like BW400CN, prefers to be shot at 320 or 200. Otherwise you end up with ugly grain (amplified by my scanner).

This roll was shot at 200ASA: http://forum.mflenses.com/chinese-ilford-xp2-t33352.html

Yes, shooting at iso400 gives more "grain" than I like. Actually it's not real grain of course.
