Found out where the Zenit B light leak comes from - easy to repair.

And the damn shutter broke up just by itself. Evil or Very Mad

I never think about to take any Zenit. We can find so many cheap and quality alternative. Fujica, Praktica, Pentax + many other camera with M42 adapter.

What do you mean by broke up? It might be an easier fix than you'd imagine.

No it is not, the lower edge of the leftmost curtain doesn't follow as it should. "Tigers lair" doesn't say anything about shutter disassembly .. now I have some sort of faint idea that I have some pdf about Soviet camera repair. In Russian of course.

There are a lot of people who call these then USSR-built cameras as "rear lens caps" Laughing

Sadly true, some RF has better built quality like Zorki-4 etc.

I respect pretty much those guys like you. Every lens, camera has must be a place somewhere ! I cross my fingers to get a nice working item.

Here is the trouble. Theoretically it could be fixed by changing the curtain. I'm not sure if that is possible without the whole disassebly / assembly of the shutter. The other is just worn and broken.
