USING CANON FD LENS WITH CANON EOS CAMERA

I have been trying (like many others) to use FD lenses in EOS cameras (300D Canon Digital Rebel).
With the current japanese/Chinese adapters with optical element, I did not get reasonable quality images.
Without the optical element, the same adapter works with tele lenses (300mm FD f/4 and 500mm FD reflex f/ Cool

but infinity is not reached. They only achieve focus up to 100 mts maximum.
However, the 500 FD REFLEX focus beyond infinity, as follows:
-camera with EOS/FD ring (bought in Ebay),
-plus Canon FD 2X-a or 2X-b extender/converter,
-then the 500mm lens.

The result is a 1,000 mm (1,600mm with crop factor).
