That's a soviet aerial lens designed for 8x8 camera.
It is similar to Uran-27, but with different color rendition.
It's not that big, but a bit heavy.
Here it is on my Sony A7II :

Really nice results and an interesting lens. Reminds me of the Schneider Göttingen Xenon 12.5 cm f/2 which was used for aerial photography as well. Seems usable at pretty much all distances and I like the rendering.
Your older shots with it are fantastic as well:
Seems really well suited for street photography in the right hands! Excellent work. _________________ ---

I see some harsh vignetting in all the pics. it shouldn't be the lens so the vignetting is the result of the adapter? |

Yes, custom made with lathe.

Yes, it must be because of the flat M42 to E mount.

Well, I have to look for the similar adaptation. Do you have any drafts for it?
However, I really am considering to adapt it the the MF camera. But it needs the shutter for it. Bicause for the MF mirror cameras it has too short back distance unfortunatly. _________________ "Sharpness is a bourgeois concept" - © H. Cartier Bresson |

Yes, it cannot work on my Kiev-60 for exemple.
I have the draft, but the Uran-10 (and Uran-27) came in various mounts. Need to find the exact same mount. Mine is a rare version with thread mount, so it was much easier. Usualy, they come with a plate mount, like here : https://www.ebay.fr/itm/166960704094 _________________ Pierre

i have rarely seen pictures with such clear 3D effect from a full frame camera/sensor.
I would like to see the outcome of this lens on a big sensor aka Fuji GFX or Phase One .. Hasa .. _________________ **

Unfortunately, it is able to be used only on the mirorless cameras. And my Phase One back is united to the SLR body. So, it was impossible for me to use it. However I have it in may storage. Obtained it quite cheaply once at the local flea market. _________________ "Sharpness is a bourgeois concept" - © H. Cartier Bresson |

Interesting. http://www.photohistory.ru/index.php?pid=1207248190024779 says "The lens is corrected for the orange-red region and is used with filters ZhS-18, OS-12, KS-14." The OP's lens doesn't show much (any?) CA. |

I really own "Uran-27", 2,5/100, KOMZ
https://radojuva.com/en/2022/06/uran-27/
It is calmed there that "The lens is corrected for the wide blue-red region and might be used without any filters"
http://www.photohistory.ru/index.php?pid=1207248190090015
However, it has very inconvenient shape of the conjunctive gear.
Have to try it yet with my Sony a7s maybe. _________________ "Sharpness is a bourgeois concept" - © H. Cartier Bresson |

It should come out of that mount. My U-27 came to me without the mount. Convenient.
I've used it on a 2x3 Speed Graphic. Not a bad lens but, like my 4"/2.0 TTH lens ex-F.95, heavy and no better than a much lighter f/5.6 plasmat at the apertures I normally use.
Speed is nice, I guess, but it has a price. I don't regret getting the U-27, its price was 1 Euro (eBay is such a gamble) plus 25 Euros shipping.
And a question about posting practice here. Many of the example shots that people post are shot at near distance, even with lenses like the Urans that were made to be used at infinity. Why do you think the happy owners do this? |

thats a good question...
it looks like the lens is from aerial medium format camera.
color corrections, yellow/orange filters, infinity, .. are some parts of the characteristics for such lens. _________________ **
