Everything seems to work correctly.
I'm curious how well the combination holds up against digital. |

What a beauty, being black it is rarer than the silver ones, same goes for the lens, silver being more common.
You will love it I am sure, the lens is a stunner. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

I kinda find the looks of the silver one better, but beggars can't be choosers.
I'm in search for a hood since the lens is single-coated. I can't find the original lenshood, and the follow-up Voigtlander 58mm f/1.4 has a slightly smaller filter size. Any (preferably cheap) alternatives that fit nice along the camera/lens? The filtersize is 62mm. |

Results could take some time, I've got a HP all-in-one thing which I don't think provides decent scan results. But that's a problem for later.
First, awaiting for film sent by the very helpful iangreenhalgh1. |

Most glad to be able to help, and look forward to your results.
If you need a new scanner, the Epson V500 is about 150eu and excellent (see Attila's work with his) or you could pick up a secondhand Epson Perfection like I did. I paid 36ukp in shipping for a Epson Perfection 3200 and it does the job on 35mm quite well, a 3200dpi scan gives me a 13mp file which matches up quite well to digital resolutions.
This was scanned by my scanner, Konica 4/21mm lens on Konica FT-1 body, Ilford FP4 film I developed in Rodinal:

I picked up this baby, it's meant for the 58mm f/1.4 which fits perfectly:
No results on the horizon yet though, have to shoot my first film still. |

Thats a 62mm filter ?
Strangely large size for such a lens. Pentax managed it with a 49mm. Others were 52-55mm.
Anyway, you should look for a plain metal mid-size hood - not tele, not wide. Any cheap black aluminum one will do fine.
Something like this -
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Zykkor-62mm-Standard-Metal-Lens-Hood-with-Filter-Thread-Mount-/130636658974?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e6a8d391e
I would never take such a lens outside without one, not only because it makes a great difference in results, but because I also would feel the lens is unprotected. _________________ I like Pentax DSLR's, Exaktas, M42 bodies of all kinds, strange and cheap Japanese lenses, and am dabbling in medium format/Speed Graphic work. |

Well you're right about the large size for it. I've got a bunch of filters/hoods for 58mm already, so planted a 62to58mm ring onto it and it doesn't vignette at all. Even not with 2 polarizers (ND filter) and hood in front of it. |
