There have also been rumors about a Canon EVIL, that apparently Canon is calling EIS: Electro Image System, vs. EOS (Electro Optical System). Rumored to have a 22mp CMOS 18mmx12mm (2X) sensor.

Not crazy about a 2x sensor. I'm holding out hope for a full-frame sensor. Probably the earliest we'll see Canon's offering with be at Photokina in October 2011.

next Photokina will be in September 2012. At that we will have Nikon and Canon mirrorless cams - for sure.

Dang it, I forgot -- it's every other year, isn't it? Thought it was in October, though. Well, maybe the Tokyo Photo Show (or equivalent) later this year?
