A simple shade can save a difficult lightened picture.
(One reminds it when it happens...)

First picture, strong flare, devastated colouring:



As I didn't have anything else, I place my bare hand on top of the lens, to provide some shade whilst I took the second shot:



Both pictures with the same exact conditions: ISO100, 1/30s, f/5.6 using the Minolta AF 50mm 1.7 on the Sony A700.

I'll never go out again without a set of sunshades....

good presentation of the big difference!
..just that I prefer the first photo, it's colors and additional 'rays' of flare, the washed out background Wink

right, the difference is stricking, the spider net so much sharper on the second ( personal preferance, my linking of flare effects is another thing Wink )

yes and being able to repeat and control and call upon these tools sets as one needs Wink
