Yes, it has a bent filter thread but otherwise it seemed quite fine.
At a "buy it now price" of $1 it seemed worth the risk.
I really was not expecting much of this lens, however it is actually useful as a standard to short tele - even if a little slow (f3.5-4.5)
So how does it perform?
Here are some samples.
Quite good I think.

Yes a good price. I think maybe it should have been a $1 starting bid for auction but was mistakenly listed as BIN.
Anyhoo that is all history.
None of those shots is wide open. f5.6 or f8 I would think.
Cheers

Thanks Steve.
There is so little reported about this lens' performance that it probably isn't on anyone's wish list. On top of that it is quite slow for standard type lens.
It also has a fairly miserable closest focusing distance of 4 feet
Putting that aside, it is a very decent lens for a walkaround in reasonable light.
It is sharp from wide open and the bokeh can be quite pleasant.
Here is a shot at widest aperture.
Good sharpness and pleasant bokeh.
Dented filter ring was an easy fix with a pair of pliers and it now carries a UV filter whose threads are perfect.
