Except for a little wind movement in the leaf images (I sharpened them just a little) I do like these images...i was after the light more than capturing the details on the bottlebrush .

1 and 2 are my choices.
a white paper sheet as fill to reduce the dynamic range a bit?

I use to hang/hold a white paper sheet while i am holding the camera. The white sheet acts as a small reflector and lit up the dark areas of the flower. Sometimes, just a little fill that makes the different: white tissue/ towel on table. Taking of a dark jacket and use the white shirt wokrs too.

I always enjoy how you interact with light in your photos.

Thanks, I really appreciate the feedback.I think it was one of those moments when you see it and take the photo and it works...almost except for the wind movement!

Hi!

All are good, but #4 is particularly lovely! Capturing that almost ethereal translucency in leaves is no mean trick.

Cheers!
