i just picked this up for less than $50usd; its not the sp version, which i assume would be somehow better, but this one's not so bad for the price. no pp at all. please click on each photo for best viewing! thanks for comments/feedback!

It doesn't look a bad lens, The pic of the dog is the winner in that series.

Totally OT, but one of my two dogs is almost identical to yours (shot with my Vito B and with the Oly XA I think)





She is a husky/maremma sheepdog mix, now more than 13 yrs old.

ludo that is amazing! they look exactly alike! mine is a full breed white german shepherd. i am very glad to hear yours is over 13yrs--thats great. athena just turned 5. btw, what is 'OT'?

poilu-i would love to see that comparison as well. i was just able to pick up the sp version on ebay for $28usd!!! when i get it i will do some comparisons and probably sell one of them.

It's a nice lens alright Smile I bought the SP 28-80 for next to nothing as well and found the SP a bit sharper and more contrasty.
