Looks good, it's an AF lens BTW, or am I wrong?

It is.

But it has a good direct mechanical focus ring and I use it as such mounted on an EOS to Sony E adapter plus an EOS to Nikon AI ring. You have to buy the Nikon version to use it without electronic connection since the other mounts skip the manual diaphragm ring.
Hence my idea it is eligible to this forum but if opinions are otherwise no problem to delete.

No problem at all with me, I asked just to be sure I was understanding which lens it was.

That series of Tamron Aspherical lenses were very good lenses, as your picture shows. Many years ago I bought a 24-70 f3.4 - 5.6 Model 73DE to replace the awful kit lens on my EOS600 ( the insurance bought it after I drove a Range Rover over my camera bag Rolling Eyes ) and it was a joy to use, that camera and lens went across America and Canada and some of Europe over many years shooting Fujichrome, it's probably the most dependable lens I've ever had, and I still have it, it's still on the EOS600 that was repaired on the insurance and sits on my shelf, sadly unused. And seeing this post, I'm going to use it again on my A7II.

Back in the day I did use it a lot on manual focus, I've always been a photographer that liked to choose where I wanted the focus to lie, and this old Tamron never failed me.
