The Oxford Dictionary of English says it means "coincidence" but gives an illustration of "It was just happenstance that I was there" allowing the meaning of accident in the sense of an unplanned or unintended action or circumstance, It is, according to the dictionary, an American word.
Right, enough messing with words -
I like the pic, it reminds me of Ernst Haas's stuff from the 1950s - you should try for more using slower shutter speeds ! And underexpose a bit as well . . . _________________ Stephen
Equipment: Pentax DSLR for casual shooting, Lumix G1 and Fuji XE-1 for playing with old lenses, and Leica M8 because I still like the optical rangefinder system. |
