Sometimes it's necessary to vent. I am so disappointed. Sad

I lost this auction

Click here to see on Ebay

because, with between one and two feet of snow on the ground hereabouts, everyone is at home and on the net. My bandwidth and connectivity are horrible. I clicked my bid for $15+ and nothing happened. Nothing at all. Twenty seconds later the auction ended, my bid never having made it through to eBay.

It was a TX-U adapter, although no one could determine that from the photos (I had contacted the seller via e-mail). The lens was nice, too.

Gosh it's a let down when stuff like this happens. I really wanted that adapter. And, boy, did the winning bidder get a great deal! Course it's easier to get great deals when opposing bids don't get through!!!

Bidsniper or the like. Plug in what you are willing and let it go. Look afterwards. DONE.

I'm in the USA. Do that here and you end up nibbled to death!! Sniping is the only way to bid. Sadly. Wish it were not so.

And FYI, when I tried to bid there were no other bids showing!!

I have the same problem, ebay was running sloooow a couple of weeks ago and my bids never went through.

I generally dont bid til the last moment so snipe or automatic bids are too late. But after advice from a friend I now use a different system (for some items) and it works for me.

I also just lost an auction because my connection was too slow.
And I am a bit paranoid about giving my login details to one of those sniping apps. Embarassed

With respect:

Not paranoid. Just very, very smart. Wink
