I had the photosniper and it sucked massively; soft at all apertures. Member Poolhall convinced me to try another and I'm glad I did (but I got the preset version and not the crazy sniper). It's quite sharp wide open and seems best at F8 where it is quite astonishing.

I'm not sure where you were focusing, but it seems the foreground is the sharpest point.

Infinity can never be trusted. How many times do you suppose lenses have been evaluated at infinity when in fact the barrels stopped turning before meeting it - even by the slightest amount? I almost prefer the ones that go past infinity, thus allowing me to back up.

I think you are both right. There definitely seems to be an infinity issue here. I am still looking for a non-PS Tair, but they seem to be getting rarer - and pricier!!!!

I will have to investigate the issue and re-shoot. Apologies all.
