I took my new Tair 3 to the falconry today and caused a bit of a stir.
Because it's so big and shiny people seemed to think it was a hugely expensive modern lens.
One gentleman from Carolina, with a Sony SLT-65 and 70-300 lens, was amazed by it and confidently predicted I wouldn't get any joy shooting the birds. When we compared shots after the display it was clear only one of us knew how to drive a camera.
It was dull out there today, so wide open with ISO400, processed in Lightroom.

Wow Wow Wow!!! I salute you. I tried one time before with 300mm AFS with Fuji S5 Pro for BIF and I never get even one good photo. You are using heavy lens and even with MF. _________________ http://mycasualsnaps.blogspot.com |

How do you do it: focusing continuously while they are flying or put the lens to infinity and start spraying? _________________ Moderator Himself |

Thanks. Continuous focusing mostly, otherwise I'll pre-select the focus and wait for the bird to come into range. I've never used infinty for this.
