Have been enjoying using my Tair 135 f2.8 it is a pleasure to use and produces excellent results.
Question : Does any one have a suggestion or a curve that i can use to control the distortion that i get with it.I only have PTlens and PS elements 2.0
Below are a few shots that i took with the lens.

If you use PTLens, visit the developer's Web site and shoot some test images with the lens. Send it to the developer, and he'll be happy to add Tair to PTLens database. He did it for my Tokina 28-80 at one time, and that lens had quite significant distortions.
On the other hand, I don't believe there are any noticeable distortions with Tair-11 _________________ List of lenses |

Just checked ebay. It cost $150 with shipping.
But for $300 you could get the Carl Zeiss Sonnar T* 135mm 2.8
What would you recommend? |

I figure that the high end glass just doesn't give you any surprises. heh. Then again, the Tair 11a is somewhat softer wide open and is prone to some CA and flare. So if you want a lens that's good wide open and relatively controlled for that...maybe you'll want the Zeiss. Otherwise the Tair is great stuff =p |

I wouldn't praise Sonnar 135/2.8 for low CA - as I remember, at least two local members were not very happy with the level of axial CA, which this Sonnar shows (for the money). But I agree with sharpness. Anyway, Tair is bokeh lens... no any other 135mm lens has bokeh like the Tair... _________________ (almost) complete list of Helios lenses |

Tair 11 - 2.8/133 M39 or Tair 11A 2.8/135 M42?
Those are two different performers. _________________ Cheers, Voytek |
