I spent my Sunday at my parents house in the Rio de Janeiro's hills. I tested two "new" lenses in theyr garden. A Nikkor P 180mm f/2.8 DIY AI and a SMC Takumar 50mm f/1.4. All hand held.

Nikkor 180mm at 2.8 (Flower: princess earring)

Nikkor 180mm at 2.8 (Flower: Cow foot)

Takumar 50mm at 2.8 (I guess) Rose

Takumar 50mm at 2.8 (I guess) Cow foot

Nikkor 180 2.8 is very good glass...

First time I used. It was a very good surprise, it is easy to manage, and performs almost like the 105 f/2.5.
Next time I will compare the 180 and the 105.

I have Nikkor*ED 180/2.8, and your P seems to produce smoother bokeh than ED glass. No wonder - the older Nikkor is an improved Sonnar design, while *ED is something entirely different.

Yes, it has a very smooth bokeh and it's very easy to manege despite their weight.
