A very oblique attempt at humour. You were going through a purge of camera gear recently and then posed the question about buying lenses in another thread.
When this question came along about this particular lens, I found the reply from Pentax forums about the serial numnber .... it is quoted above and discovered that it contained the fabled answer to "the meaning of life" from Hiitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy .........

Seemed funny at the time and I thought that you would catch on ............
It loses something in the explaining ..........
