Here it is, some of you might remember my post where i asked for a lens ID. The seller didn't know, he should have unscrewed the step-up ring which holds the hood.... it was tight, but underneath were brandname and type!!
Member Calvin83 guessed it right!! And he told me to grab it if i could, and so i did.
I am still waiting for my EXA to NEX adapter from China, but there was a Minolta MD-Exa adapter (original Minolta!) included with this lens, so i will give it a try this week.
It seems to be a fairly rare lens, so i am quite happy!
Two pics of the lens, one collapsed and one to full extend.

It looks like it has bubbles under the front element. I haven't seen something like that before. Maybe oil?
Anyway tough lens to find, and a good lens to have. |

No, they aren't bubbles.... it is a bit dirty, i need to clean it. There's some amount of dust inside as well. Hope i get the time to do that soon!!
The lens hasn't been used for a long time, and apparently it was stored without any caps, as it did come without.... i just cleaned the barrel for these shots! _________________ My Flickr photostream: http://www.flickr.com/photos/chantalrene/

So here they are: some quick back-yard shots made with this lens, just received my EXA to NEX adapter!!
It's actually a sort of 2-step lens. First it is a "normal" 2.8/100 lens, and when you turn it to minimum focus distance it unlocks the second barrel, being the macro extension. As soon as you have engaged the second barrel, the normal focusing ring is locked.
It really is a very fine piece of engineering, everything works so smooth!
I have made some pictures in 2nd stage, and some in normal 100mm mode.
All pics straight jpg from my NEX3, handheld, nothing has been altered. Lot's of sun here at the moment!
(don't look at the dustspecs on my sensor......)
1. Max. magnification at f/8
2. same as above
3. normal 100mm mode, f/8
4. normal 100mm mode, min.focus distance, f/2.8
5. normal 100mm mode, f/4
6. normal 100mm mode, f/5.6
7. normal 100mm mode, f/8

Great! It seems it is really a competent performer and better than my 3.5/100 Quinar. I hope I can get one finally in reasonable price. _________________ https://lensfever.com/
