Very nice comp, love the colors and bokeh (it's a Sonnar!). Cute catch!

I like the intense colors... was the lens wide open?

Yes - I almost always shoot wide open.

I was wondering if these were professional squirrel models where you pay union scale for their time. Wink Smile

Locally I have to deal with Local 349 of the SUOTA (Squirrel Union Of The Americas). The weekday rates are not so bad, but nights and weekends are time and a half. Holidays are four hour minimum and triple time.

You're improving day after day. This one is great!.
I know I have some squirrels in my neighborhood, but I've seen then rarely. At which time of the day they use to appear?. I'd like to take some pictures.
The last time I saw them was this summer when they came to help me in picking the mediars from my mediar tree...

Regards.

Jes.

During the spring-summer-fall squirrels tend to prefer early morning and late afternoon for their outdoor activity, though they do not necessarily restrict it - I shoot the cuties mostly before midday, but they are there in the afternoon too, though it might take half an hour, or even more for them to start appearing in the summer. In the park I go they are quite active at all times. In the winter they are typically active through the daylight hours.
