Looking for spot meter that doesn't break the bank. Open to unusual brands if accurate. Sub- 100 pounds sterling. Ok with old/used. Already have meters so would prefer the style that holds up to the eye. As i say i know nothing. Thanks for any help.

Have you thought of using a digital camera as an exposure meter? Virtually any digital camera has now a spot meter incorporated.

My digital is permanently set to spot. I have a seikonic mounted on top of my medium format. But spot focusing is what I want to use. I see what you're saying but I want take my MF alone.

The Soligor Digital Spot Sensor should be available for relatively little money. I have used it for many years successfully until I bought the Minolta Spotmeter F which is additionally usable for flash metering.
