I have not received it yet (March 29).

That is very long!

Attila, how long did you have to wait for it?

My finder arrived yesterday, so I could pick it up at the customs office today.

I have to say that I am positively surprised. It works really well and in contrast to yours, Attila, it fits OK on my NEX-3:

I think we have same size, but still unsure please link here what did your order , mine is made for Canon 7D. I think this is an essential tool for all Next owners, if you find a perfect match that would be great and other owners able to order it.

Same than mine, one other if somebody like to order from Ebay , seller is trustworthy I buy from him long time ago.
Click here to see on Ebay

I just look details again, they are not same. What I did link first and Carsten did order look different. Seems that is right choice.

Anyhow I have received the item same as Carsten's this morning 2011-Apr-7
just one month later. I am going to check the viewer today.

A souvenir from California... no no not with this LCD viewer!!

At Newport CA with kit lens 18-55 zoom + NEX5.

I used today in short while, it really works!! Very Happy
I wear bifocals with NEX5 and GF1, so no problem with no diopter adjustment
for LCD viewer/magnifier.

with CV Nokton 40/1.4

@f2 magazine (travel)

@f8 Hydrangea ISO 1600 (slight noise here)

LCD viewer makes focus easier, and sometime you do not need to enlarge
screen image to focus.

Hi there
very intresting post. Can someone explain to a new comer what this device does? I though at the beginning that it converts the back screen to a viewfinder... From the screenshots though I can see that is also used to cameras that also have an embedded viewfinder.

What is it about then?

Regards
Alex

camera rear screen enlarged a bit plus in rear lcd in shadow, both real benefits outside. EVF is usable if you take off viewer from camera.
