Do you get any error codes, or is it 'dead' ?
I seem to remember reading about some Sony's that became 'confused' when used a lot with manual focus lenses and locked up, but I'm not certain. _________________ LENSES & CAMERAS FOR SALE.....

I have seen that error before, it was bad grounding of the electronics. Was something attached to metal parts of bayonet from inside of the camera ?
There are fuses on the boards, some of them could be damaged. |

Probably correct Petr, there was a thin metal piece that had a screw through it that was probably the grounding connector to the metal of the lens mount. When I ground away some plastic this was removed. Camera worked for a few shots after this then stopped.
My a200 still works fine, but I'm not going to do the same modification to it, instead I'm going to rethink the construction of the replacement mount and leave the body untouched as I don't want to break this one too. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |
