hmm, I have made a special adaptor to use that lens on a 6x7 helicoid (which I use universally,
to mount my Apo EL Nikkor 105mm, S-Orthoplanar 105mm, Printing Nikkor 95mm + 105mm etc.),
so actually that problem seems to be solved ... Wink Wink

but I'm always open to talk... and I am missing a Kinoptik 25mm or 40mm Apochromat Wink Wink

What the...is going on here?

Have you robbed a camera shop? Amazing!

As far as the F6 is concerned: isn't it funny that this cam was based on a digital D2x, wheres the first digital Nikon DSRLs were based on the film F-cams?

Partial results of some 25 years of collecting...

Hmmm, signs of times changing rapidly, I guess. One could even call this "evolution"...

SVP

Not quite sure how I missed this thread. What an incredible collection - it would be an incredible stock in a photographic store! Those nikkors - my main interest until recently. But there are plenty there I never heard of and the Alpa - well! Dying is too good.

I'm 99% sure it's a Manfrotto 709b, I have two of them. Great mini-tripods, can take on a lot of weight.

The instructions mentioned it can hold up to 1kg of weight, I have tested it with 3kg of weight and it didn't move during an overnight time-lapse shoot (Nikon D2x + 70-200/2.8G VR).

This is quite an extraordinary collection.

Your 300/2 Ai-S is the first I have ever seen, it is the fastest 300mm ever. It would be mouthwateringly interesting to see large size samples taken with this lens.

I am equally keen on that 80/2.8 AF. I still remember turning down one a few years ago Sad This lens I have been told is a fantastic performer, peak sharp already wide open and free of distortion. It would be equally interesting to see some results.

I see that you also have the original HN-4 hood for the guide number pancake. When I still had that lens I spent lots of time online trying to find the hood. Now, it seems the pancake has been rediscovered as it fetches good prices on eBay. Sharp wonderful little lens, bokeh I found a little too tessarish.

@ Mo-Fo: Actually it's a Manfrotto #209 table-top tripod with a #342 mini ball head, it's even smaller than the #709b. Great little thing, extremely well engineered and very capable.

@ Esox lucius: Thanks. I can confirm the 80f/2.8 AF qualities. I'll do a search for some old slides shot with this one, I guess my Coolscan would help to demonstrate its abilities.
As for the GN, it's my preferred lightweight all-round lens, top combination of portability, performance and built quality IMO.
