Hello Learned Photographers and Collectors!

Firstly there are two versions of this lens - black and silver that look quite different, I believe.

I am wondering how good is this lens and how much is it worth in terms both of quality and resale value if I decide not to keep it?

I mean the newer(?) silver version.

Any replies shedding light on this will be much appreciated![/img]

These lenses are usually expensive and not cover even m4/3 fully, I had Angienux 25mm f0,95 sharp wide open , perform well and damn small. I sold it due none of it's feature was worth to keep it for ~ 1000 USD. I sold mine to a forum member around 500 USD.

Thanks, Atilla!

Yes, I think since it doesn't cover the sensor I won't bother with it. I don't fancy buying Nikon V1 just for this. More than enough equipment already!

Time to reign in this LBA thang...

Erm... Good luck with that... most of us here (Myself firmly included), fail miserably with that particular challenge! Twisted Evil

This is not a bad thing, you just need to prioritise what lenses will be more useful to your style of shooting.

Yes, predictably I failed!

Well, how could one resist this beauty:

It's more of a piece of jewelery than a lens, isn't it?

But people also say that it is a superb piece of optics with 2 asphericals and full coverage of the MFT sensor. Now I just need to get myself a MFT camera...

Just in case people are interested. The Cinor may well cover the m43 sensor, I am not sure, but vignetting on the aps-c (NEX) sensor is not too terrible.

It's an interesting lens - quite sharp but very prone to flare. Lovely colours but extreme barrel distortion. Mind you the seller did not disclose that there was some damage due to fungus etching near the rear element (I seem to have bad luck with this lately), so this could be affecting the performance, though the damage seems to be fairly mild and mostly around the edges.

Here are some pics:
