Nice pics, with typical colour rendering from the Soligor 180mm .....

Yes I'll agree about it being a good lens.
Your chrome eared one is very similar but may have a different maker, going by the serial numbers.

We could actually use some miserable weather if it includes rain - it has been so dry that very little is flowering and my garden subjects (images) are becoming a bit repetitive.
I wasn't expecting a lot from this lens but it has surprised me. It would be interesting to know its parentage - Tokina maybe - unsure.
