First of all, i know i'm not the most participative member in this forum so, taking this in account, i understand some of you may have some trust issues when buying such expensive lenses.

However, i would like to show you a feedback topic, in a portuguese photography forum, which you can easily translate. In the very first post you can read "Jimlizard - Manual Focus Lenses".

http://www.forumfotografia.net/index.php?topic=7929.msg53876#msg53876

Although i was probably the first portuguese member registering in here, there are some friends who came later, but participate more, and can tell you for sure than i'm a very honest person.

If there is any interest from you in some of my lenses, i just want you to feel confortable doing business with me.

I'm selling these - together with my complete 35mm set - because i'm moving to digital medium format photography. I never had any quality complaints about this equipment and, honestly, i couldn't ask for more.
I really feel sad to see these amazing lenses go, but i really can't keep them together with the camera i want to buy.

The other lenses from my signature were already sold, together with the 5D. I just have the Canon 200mm f/2.8 L II and these two. Since the Canon is an AF lens, i can't sell it in here so, if you have any interest, please send me a pm.

About these two Zeiss, i'll post some photos later but, in the meantime, i'll write a description about their condition.
In a forum like this, i'm pretty sure i don't need to tell you how amazing these lenses are. I can also guarantee i have very sharp copies of both.

Carl Zeiss Planar T* 85mm f/1.4

Almost in mint condition! You can hardly see any signs of use. No fungus, dust, scratches, cleaning marks, haze or oil in the aperture blades.
Mechanically perfect. Both focus and aperture rings are moving like expected from a brand new lens.

It comes with both front and rear caps.

500eur, including packing and shipping inside the European Union.

Carl Zeiss Planar T* 50mm f/1.4 [SOLD]

Very good condition, with small and usual signs of use in the body. However with no dents or scratches.
Optically and mechanically perfect, like the 85mm.
No caps.

185 eur, including packing and shipping inside the European Union.

I can warranty that this member is an honest and trustable person.

I already bought from him and we use the same portuguese forum to sell many equipment. We are the most active sellers in it (with another couple of users).

Good luck for you friend!

Hi jim!
I don't want to be rude but I think the prices are a bit high, at least for the 85/1.4. In ebay, new, it's 100 eur cheaper...
If you want to sell, you should think about it Smile.
I wish you luck with the selling.

Hi cilinderman!

Of course it's ok! Smile
However, i never saw a new one costing 100 eur less.
There are two on ebay costing 430 + shipping, however they don't look as mint as mine.
You can also see a lot of them costing more than 500 eur + shipping and some reaching 650 eur (AE version).
I can accept 510 eur including shipping using a registered service, which costs me something around 20eur so, the final price of the lens itself would be something around 490eur.

This is what i call expensive: Smile

I sold a new one (from an old stock) for 230eur, including shipping inside my country.

About the 50mm, at moment, this is what i found on ebay.de:

The shipping cost is 20eur for the first three ones, and 16.90eur for the others, unless you live in Germany so, the cheapest one will cost 216.90.

I also saw a lot of them selling for 200-220eur in portuguese foruns.
I'm asking 185 eur including shipping and i think it's a fair price. Smile
This one is probably already sold.

Thank you for your opinion. Wink

Cheers,
David

Well, I'm Jimlizard's friend with a Carl Zeiss 50/1.4 C/Y mount for sale. (Thanks for the tip, Jimlizard!)

My lens is in very good shape (optics are in excellent condition), with some minor marks in the body but no dents.

I have used it with a C/Y-EOS adapter on my 40D with excellent results - it is a really wonderful lens. But, unfortunately, I need some extra money and, therefore, I have to sell some of my manual lenses (besides this one, I also have an Industar 61 L/Z 50/2 and a modified Porst 50/1.2 with Canon EOS bayonet).

Unlike Jimlizard's lens, IT HAS both caps (original, I think). Like Jimlizard, I'm asking 185 Euros for it, including packing and postage costs to EU.

Some images of the lens can be seen here (portuguese forum, where the lens is also for sale):

http://www.forumfotografia.net/index.php?topic=30552.0

My nickname in the forum is AnselAdams (pardon me for the immodesty!)

Lazzaros also knows me from there and may be able to give some information about me. My feedback on the (portuguese) forum is here:

http://www.forumfotografia.net/index.php?topic=9848.0 (in portuguese, sorry, but altavista's babelfish may be of help).

If there's anyone interested in this (or any of my other lenses for sale), please contact me through: pedrodclaro (a) gmail (dot) com

Thank you!

I see some of the best portuguese sellers are here haha.

Pedro is an honest and trustable seller too.

If you take a look to his feedback on portuguese forum you can confirm that.

Hi Pedro,

I'm looking for the MM version I'm afraid. I am using an Aria, not adapting to some DSLR, so I'd prefer all features to be enabled.

Thanks anyway.

Simon
