Seems pretty rare, so not sure how often I'd get a chance to buy it at such a price, even though I was not particularly seeking out the lens. A few of the reviews I read seem good, but nothing gives me more peace of mind than my fellow MFlenses users giving me their expert advice and opinion. I can't recall if there ever was an SMC-A 100/2.8 Macro - it comes to mind that their first lens of that specification was the AF version, but my memory could be sadly mistaken. No doubt others here will have clearer memories

I am waiting for a response, I hope he will get back to me. I realize since he is not selling it at a good website or anything of the likes, he would not command a premium price, and it might be worth the "investment". Thanks for the advice |

It seems like a good lens. The thing is, there is a Pentax-A 100mm 2.8 Macro, and there is only one current eBay listing for buy it now option for $695, as opposed to about only 200+ for the non-macro version. That, and you doubting it existence, leads me to believe that it might be rather rare and a good resale opportunity after a couple months of useage. |
