Am quite happy, however it should come to me no sooner then after three weeks (at the best case, if the Lord permits).

It was not chip at all, but the camera looks gorgeous - only one owner, and seems that it was not not too much used by him.

Well, I have in the refrigerator stored 250 shits of 4x5 of film, impatiently waiting to be put through it.

And a lot of additional lenses of the different kind.

Only will need to print for then an additional boards from the models on the WEB.

Let us see, how it would go on.

I am looking at the present time for “normal” lens for the new camera.

After some exploration of the matter decided to look more carefully for Schneider 150mm f/5.6 Symmar, which had been favorably described by Ken Rockwell:

https://www.kenrockwell.com/schneider/150.htm

Then I discovered, that I have in my storages Schneider Componon 150mm f/5.6 enlarging lens

Which optically looks very similar, however not identical to Schneider Symmar:

So, I wonder whether anybody has experience of comparing both lenses on infinity?

To decide, whether I really need to look for Symmar, or it would be quite enough to use Componon as the “normal” lens?

I have both the 150mm as well as the 240mm Symmars, but never really did use them too much, and my enlager 5.6/150mm lens is the Rodenstock Rodagon ... So no practical experience here.

I would, however, certainly test your Componon first, before (maybe) striving for a Symmar ...! Results may be surprisingly good if stopped down suffiently - simply to a test e. g. at f5.6, f11, f16 and f22.

If there are any meaningful differences between Componon and Symmar (talking about infinity performance) I would assume you see them only when shifting ...

My experience with componon 150mm (albeit adapted to full frame) is that it will probably do remarkably well as on objective on 4x5 film.

Once I had compared my Componon 150mm with (among the many others) Tessar F-4.5 135mm taken out of Werkstätten Guthe & Thorsch 1920s "Patent Etui" 9x12cm. On the FF Canon 5D. And the Tessar showed much better results.
.
Also I have Carl Zeiss Yena Protarlines VII F29cm (around 150mm with both components), which I tested on Phase One P25 back. Which behaved very well:

So, I believe it should also work well on 4x5 format.

However it all has to be tested actually, And I didn't receive my camera yet for testings.

Discovered very useful 3D printing model - Sinar to linhof (wista) board adapter

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6238399

I have tons of Wista/Linhof boards with lenses. So, for me it is very useful. Printed it already.

At the end my camera arrived. The condition of set is really gorgeous! No even slightest signs of exploitation!

Started leisurely cope with it.

Firstly ordered and assembled Sinar to linhof (wista) board adapter. Very nicely developed construction.

Camera already has its own Sinar lens - Sinaron S72 210/5.6. But then I explored in my storages, and discovered a lot o Rodenstock barrel lenses. Including Rodagon 150mm, and also several different Apo-Gerogons, and Apo-Ronars. Also Apo-Industars from 300mm, to 450. And in addition Apo-Nikkor 300 mm f/ 9. And some other trifles also.

For them I have couple of shutters from the USSR times for format cameras. With mounts for Industar 210mm/f4.5, and Iindustar 300mm/4.5, together with lenses.

Looks like it has the flash synchronization. But have to explore it yer.

I discovered, that it is not too difficult to adapt it to my camera. Already offered adapters from 3D modeling.

I believe all my other barrel lenses are able to be used with the same shutters, by proper ring adapts.

It has to be the joy to play with all that.

Have obtained Apo-Macro-Sironar digital 120 mm f/5,6 lens.

https://www.rodenstock-photo.com/product/apo-macro-sironar-digital/120-mm

Not very cheap (not cheap at all, to be honest), but estimated very well (especially for close subject photography):

https://www.captureintegration.com/a-hidden-gem-for-landscape-photography-rodenstock-120-apo-macro-sironar-digital-lens/

Have the plans to start with it the close subject photography. Using Phase One camera + P25 digital back, with the Mamiya 645 Multi-Position Stitching Adapter to Large Format 4x5:

https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/BV0AAOSwWzpmzAJG/s-l1600.webp

Will try to do three files in one line, and then to glue it in one 6x9 photo.

And there is newly obtained Apo-Macro-Sironar digital 120 mm f/5,6 , which I plan to use as soon as it would be convenient for me to start.
